Since 2019, I have been responsible for all product photography, videography, brand imagery, and promotional content for John Wilson Blades, a prestigious figure skating blade manufacturer based in Sheffield and established in 1696. Renowned for crafting precision-engineered blades used by Olympic and World champions, the brand holds a significant place in the sport.

As Head of Media, my role has extended beyond creative production to include working closely with elite athletes, conducting interviews, and traveling internationally to produce content.

Solo Documentary FIlmmaking
Directing, Editing, Cinematography

When I first joined John Wilson Blades, my role was centred around creating documentary content and travelling the world to film interviews with world-class figure skaters and Olympians.

My first projects took me to Dundee, Scotland, to shoot a full documentary. While the larger project was scrapped due to COVID-19, I successfully salvaged the individual interviews and transformed them into a series of mini-documentary pieces.

2D Animated Content Creation
Scriptwriting, Animation, Editing

For this animation project, I wanted to create an engaging and visually rich way to tell the story of figure skating’s history. I began by researching key milestones and sourcing archival imagery to build a strong narrative foundation. From there, I designed each sequence to flow seamlessly using motion graphics, and animated typography, that would keep the visuals interesting. The challenge was balancing educational content with visual storytelling, making sure the history felt accessible without losing depth. It was a rewarding process that really pushed me to combine my passion for motion graphics - and the skating fans seemed to like it too!

John Wilson Blades April Fools Post

Viral Marketing Campaigns
Product Photography, VFX, Photo Editing

One of my personal highlights in social media content creation was developing the annual April Fools' Day posts, which often went semi-viral within the figure skating community. I had full creative freedom each year, and the anticipation from our audience became a tradition in itself - people would regularly comment about how much they looked forward to the posts.

Over a six-year period, I expanded this style of creative, themed content to other key dates like Halloween, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, and Thanksgiving. These posts consistently resonated with the skating audience, often resulting in significant engagement spikes and an average growth of 10,000+ followers per high-performing post.
